While watching the recent Barrett Jackson auction the announcer noted that
custom has begun to be king in the restoration.
Several current television shows dedicated to customizing vehicles were noted
along with the obvious desire for one to use their classic car or truck and for
it to deliver like a super car.
In addition, that classic vehicle chosen for restoration and customization is
often a family heirloom that is to be kept in the family indefinitely. The
restoration must deliver to the generation that now holds the torch.
Our current 1970 F-100 restoration is a perfect model of this trend. This truck
was purchased brand new by the current owners father and has been in the family
ever since.
The “original thought process” was to restore this truck to its original
condition. On the other hand a custom restoration evolved out of a desire for
enough changes to deem this a super truck.
Power steering, power disc brakes, air condition, horsepower, body modification,
custom interior and the ride of your life to the next car show was in order.
We’ll add photos to this presentation as the work is performed and update you
with the details.
